Your first visit to Creffield Lodge
When you visit us for the first time, the dentist will examine your mouth, teeth and gums, and usually take some x-rays. He’ll then chat through any treatment that you may need.
If you need treatment, we’ll give you a written estimate of the costs involved and our reception staff will help you plan further appointments as part of your treatment plan
In some complicated cases, we may need to take a larger x-rays than standard. You’ll be told if this is necessary. Larger scanning x-rays cost £50.
To ensure the safety of any treatment you receive, it’s essential that we have a full record of your medical history alongside a list of any medication you are taking.
Our New Patient Form will help you to provide the details we need. You can download it using the link below or, if you find it easier, call and ask one of our reception staff to pop a form in the post.
Bring the completed form, along with a copy of your current prescription, with you to your first appointment.
We don’t usually ask to see notes or x-rays from your previous dentist but in complex cases, we may ask you to request copies.
Our fee for a new patient consultation is £90 and includes standard-sized x-rays.
It’s a great idea to bring children to the dentist when they’re very young, so that they get used to having their mouths looked at meeting the dentist.
We love seeing children from the age of about 2½, as part of a family check-up.
We’ll make sure that the experience is fun, letting them have a ride in the chair, counting their teeth and rewarding them with some great stickers.
This way, it makes going to the dentist a normal and enjoyable part of their lives.
We will always treat your information in the strictest confidence.
Most people when or if asked, “What do you think about your dentist?” might take a moment to suppress initial thoughts. For myself I feel more confident and actually enjoy my visits to Creffield Lodge, where I feel I am really well looked after by the entire team.
