Do your gums bleed when you brush?
Are you conscious of bad breath?
Are your teeth stained from drinking coffee and tea?
Do you smoke?
An appointment with one of the hygienists at Creffield Lodge will help to prevent and treat gum disease.
It will also help to improve the cosmetic appearance by removing tough stains.
The hygienist will professionally scale and polish your teeth by removing plaque and calculus (tartar), leaving you with a fresh and healthy mouth.
They will also assess and adapt your oral hygiene routine to keep your teeth and gums healthy. This also prevents tooth decay.
A standard appointment with the hygienist lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Most patients book their appointment so that it follows their check-up with the dentist.
Some useful tips:
- Brush your teeth thoroughly twice a day with fluoride toothpaste.
- Use interdental brushes or floss to clean in between your teeth. Brushing your teeth only cleans 60% of the tooth surfaces.
- Remember to visit the dentist and hygienist regularly to maintain a healthy mouth.
